So easy and nice!

Post by MomtoJGJE » Sun Jul 29, 2012 2:50 pm

Due to some very unexpected circumstances this summer, we ended up taking about a six week break. That is the longest we've been without doing school in about 4 years, maybe longer?

But, HOD is so awesome and easy, we were able to get going again pretty much full speed last week. Everyone was happy to be starting back!

And on a similar note, when I told them we would probably take a break between T'giving and Christmas (due to the new baby and trying to get gifts figured out, etc) they got upset and didn't want to take a break. So we decided that we'll take things one day at a time, break when we wanted to and not break when we didn't want to.

We're expecting baby #5 soon too! :D

I'm thinking we won't take very much time off when our little girl is born. We'll just do what we can comfortably fit in each day, and slowly build back up to our normal schedule.

Congrats! :D
Blessings,
Elisabeth

:) Congrats to you too!

Yeah, with new ones being born we normally don't take off more than a couple of days. Generally I save our taking time off for when the baby gets mobile! ;)

This year, just with timing I was thinking that it would be nice to have a Christmas break BEFORE Christmas. Since I'm a bit overwhelmed as it is and seriously doubt we'll have presents bought. But then I think rationally and realize that that 3 hours or so in the morning really isn't going to take over my day :)

Congratulations-also expecting a fall baby here, my 5th child, also a girl-must be something in the air  I will probably not take too much of a break when baby arrives either.

I'm so glad you were able to take a break and found coming back to HOD nice and easy! :D We have found the same to be true. I think this is such a great thing to share with other moms, as we do need to be able to take breaks as needed, and it's a relief to hear coming back to HOD after the break is an easy transition! Thanks for sharing this! :D
