Question for Julie about her schedule

Hi, Julie!
I read in another post somewhere that you do school 4 days per week and then just stop wherever you are in the guide at the end of the "school year" and then pick back up in the fall wherever you left off. Not sure what kind of testing, etc that you guys have to do in your state. My question is whether you have had to complete math/language arts/reading to make sure they are performing at grade level at the end of the year.
In Florida, we have a few options but I usually have an evaluation done by a teacher and they give them a short math and reading test. Nothing big. And the kids have always performed at or above grade level, but this year is our first year in Preparing with dd and ds is in Beyond so there is a 5 day unit vs a 4 day unit, so dd will be done well before ds will be. I don't want to push too hard with ds in Beyond, like adding extra assignments so we finish the unit in 4 days instead of 5. My concern is not completing the math and scheduled reading before he has an evaluation at the end of the school year. I am probably over thinking this but I want to see how you have handled this in the past or if this has even been an issue.
Thanks so much! Your posts are always so helpful!
