WOW, your dd did a great job on her WWTB assignment! Such vivid detail - loved the description of the kitty! We are actually getting a pair of kittens in the next week, and your dd's neat description of your cat made me all the more excited! Thanks for sharing - you can be so proud of her!

Thanks so much, Julie! I hope to see her continue to grow in her writing. She is pretty fond of writing on her own time, but generally not as an assignment...unless it can be about cats.

I love that she was able to choose her own "object" for the assignment. I think letting them writing about their own interests while still focusing on the particular skills being learned from the model allow so much more growth and learning to take place!

I think WWTB is such a great material. Over the course of the year, you will really see how your child (and you) will develop as a writer.
