Question about math activities in TMs

Post by slavila » Tue May 20, 2008 8:45 am

Hi -

I'm currently doing Singapore Earlybird Kinder 2A and 2B with my son. We aren't using HOD this year, but I plan on doing Beyond next year with him, therefore we will use Primary Mathematics 1A and 1B next year. I was just wondering if the math activities in HOD are the same, similar or completely different than the ones that Singapore math suggests.

Thanks

Are you referring to the Singapore teacher's guide activities?? or the textbook?? I would imagine they would be similar, since they are both introducing the same concept to allow the kiddos to be able to complete the workbook pages. We just recently started using Singapore with Carrie's activities and we love it. I think you'll be very pleased with the activites!

slavila,

We actually wrote all of our own math activities to go with Singapore, so our activities will be completely different than the Teacher's Guide written by Sonlight that Singapore sells on their website.

You will also not need the Textbooks if you follow the activities in our guides, which is another savings for you!

Blessings,
Carrie
