I am just jumping for joy. We finished Singapore 1B today, and I'm so pleased at the progress my ds has made. Through out 1A and 1B, I helped him as much as needed. I let him use manipulatives whenever he wanted, and today I was amazed at how all that just seemed to come together. The last 3 pages of Singapore 1B are word problems. Because ds has dyslexia, sometimes the language of word problems confuse him, but not today! I brought out manipulatives just in case he needed them, but to my amazement, I would read the word problem, and he would put his hands up and say wait....look in the air and then tell me the answer. He was calculating it all in his head. What an awesome way to finish Singapore 1A and 1B. We both did a little happy dance. :D Singapore 2A ...here we come!

Yeah, Singapore is really awesome! I think it's a great program for our picture-thinking, mathy dyslexic kids!

YEAH! Celebrating with you. We love Singapore here too. It has helped me do math in my head. I have to admit I could not do some simple addition and subtraction in my head
