Hello!

I'm Juls, a new HOD mom around here. We just got our 50+lb box of Bigger and preparing goodness and I am so excited for the school year I can hardly stand it!

So I'm going through the main books to write down the resources I see, and Notebooks keep popping up. Last year, we had access to preprinted notebook pages for our work, so all I did was print and stick in binders. This year, I am curious about making our own pages, or using notebook page templates. I'm totally down with basic customize-able pages :)

I recently ran across notebookingpages.com, and wondered if anyone has used some of their pages for language arts/science/history etc. I have also seen the notebook fairy, but have not had time to pursue the site.

The pro click look like it would be great for adding pages per end of unit. As you may be familiar with, no "big purchase" happens without consulting the Hubs, and showing him financial and educational justification. I'd love to read some feedback from those who have experience with any or all of these products, as used in conjunction with HOD.

Thanks in advance!

Kindest regards
Juls

For Preparing we just used regular white paper or notebook paper which ever worked best for the page and he notebooked on that. If he needed to write a verse at the top of the notebooking page I would sketch faint lines and he would write there and then have room below for drawing any pictures he was supposed to draw. I wouldn't make a big purchase of notebooking pages because in CTC and up you use beautiful color notebooking pages that have many of the resources they need for the activities actually on them.

I've always just used plain typing paper for our notebooks, which works! This year, though, I'm planning to try some templates that I found on this website: http://notebookingnook.blogspot.com/200 ... ed-by.html Scroll all the way down to find general use-basic pages. I have heard of people using notebookingpages.com, but when I looked I wasn't able to find anything that I thought would suit my HOD needs as well as I was looking for.

Thank you both for your thoughtful advice :) My husband would be thrilled if we could get away with buying composition books only lol. Of course I'd have to gussy them up with patterned duct tape to make them pretty...er...Individual ;)
