Which DITHOR student book to use?

Hello again! My oldest t(11.5yo -- 6th grade-age this fall) will be using DITHOR for the first time when we get
rolling. But.....we haven't ever really done any formal literature study or
reading instruction with her. She went to a private 1/2 day kindy, and came out
a reading-crazed child -- and is to this day! Her writing reflects that, but
she hasn't really ever written, or studied literature per se, formally. Just
her own stories on her own time, you know? I had followed Waldorf philosophy on that for so long (and doesn't CM lean towards holding off this sort of thing until they are older?)
I am looking at the 4/5 samples, and the 6/7/8 samples, and I am not sure where to put her!

Help! again!

Your dd sounds exactly like my dd, a reading crazed child....I like the way you put that! LOL but I can so relate! My dd will be 6th grade as well, and hasn't done any formal literature study. I am going to use the DITHOR 4/5 for that reason. I also want to say that I read somewhere either on this message board or the HOD site in general, that it was recommended to use the 4/5 if they hadn't had formal lit. study.

Thanks, Jen! I'll tell you what - I asked God for three things of my children: that they love Him, love to read, and have dimples. I'm hoping that this 5th one has some dimples, because I'm getting discouraged. My oldest is obsessed with books - her world, I tell you. So who says God doesn't answer prayers? (though I am still waiting on the dimples... )
