Is bigger appropriate for this situation?

Originally was going to have the 10&12 yer olds work through RtR and my 7&9 year olds use bigger. but upon further consideration decided that RtR will be too much for the 10yo with attention issues. She places in CTC for the core areas of reading and writing. My 7yo places in beyond. The 9yo places in preparing. Now my alternate plan is to have the 12yo use RtR, the 7yo use beyond, and combine the 9&10yo into bigger with extensions (since i alredy own bigger and most extensions). I really actually think preparing would be perfect for both of them BUT (and this is the kicker!) all curriculum money is spent. I literally just scrounged up enough money to purchase beyond! Anyway I'm concerned about using a guide that neither of them place into at all. They will be in grades 4&5 in the fall and the 9yo I'm talking about actually turns 9 in July and we wont start all this until August(so she is a young fourth grader). What do you think? Will it be a waste of time for them both to use bigger? I will be stretched on time running 3 guides and given the fact that I absolutely have NO funds to purchase preparing I'm kinda boxed into this. School that requires my help must be finished by 1:00 each day because that's when I leave for work. I hope I'm not rambling and that everyone understands my concerns. I really don't want them bored. Also we will be using DITHR 4/5 and grade appropriate spelling, math, grammar.
