Book genre/level for DITHOR- help me determine please :)

I have a book DD wants to read for DITHOR 6/7/8. I don't really know how to determine the best genre and what level it is, or if it's a good choice b/c I have NO time to preread. Anyone know this book? Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff. She's starting 6th and is about to be 11 and reads very well.

Awesome. Thanks! Is that the same "method" of leveling Carrie uses? So the books in the DITHOR 6/7 pack that are similar level on the HOD site are comparably leveled as this one?

Carrie uses AR reading levels. They can vary some from Scholastic book levels. In this case that book looks like it gets a 7.1 AR level. The levels for the 6/7 book packs are 6.0-7.3 so that is on the upper end, but it falls within there.
