I may be having a few children from other families join me as I teach for parts of Beyond- for history & history-related subjects, poetry, storytime, and science only. Do you think I need to add anything for the 3rd grader, especially in science? (She will be doing separate math and language arts with her mom at home; DITHOR level 2/3 with me).
Thanks!

Re: 3rd grader in Beyond
I would assign her a science topic related to the themes of the week to research on her own. She can then share her findings through oral narration, written narration, or notebooking. This is a neat way to have older students extend their learning in a student-directed way that does not add too much to the day for the student or for the teacher. HTH!
