I was curious if many of you supplement HOD with any logic and reasoning activities (ie. workbooks from Critical Thinking company)??

So far, I haven't used any additional materials. However, I would say that the use of narration really helps in this area. Since they have to digest the information and make it their own in a narration, they are using many of those higher-level thinking skills. Many times teachers and moms have to supplement in this area because the curricula they are using doesn't foster that kind of thinking. Without any supplementation, I believe my kids are doing fabulously in this area.

I agree. the skills.taught in HOD and the manner in.which they are taught naturally build logic and.critical thinking skills. It just happens.to be in a more.natural, almost masked fashion....instead.of a workbook. I feel no Jews.to add them and either trashed.or sold all.of.ours except.the for-fun ones, like logic dots and other games. No actual planned addition.
