Does everyone need their own guides???

Since I will be doing PHFHG next year with BOTH of my boys, do you think I need to buy two guides so that they'll each have one for their independent part. If I have one doing their independent History, and perhaps another boys is wanting to do their independent science, having them share the guide probably won't work since they'll need instructions for both, and commentary/questions they need to read along side their work.
I really don't want to photocopy every single page, every single day. So what do you all do?

I'd just have a common place to have the book open where they could both come and look. In my mind it's not enough ind work in Preparing to worry about getting two guides. And also, my dd will leave the book in one place, and go back and forth looking at it to do her work...

I am wondering this also. I will have a 8 and 10 yr old doing the guide together. I plan to schedule their times so that they will do different activities at different times and then see how it goes. If I need to I will then get another guide. I am about to search the schedule thread to see if anyone has created a good schedule for 2 kids using preparing.

There are 2 "I" boxes in PHFHG. One is the "Science Exploration" and the other is the "Independent History Study". It would probably work to have 1 do the Science and the other do the History and then switch.

You can have the guide open in a central place so they can each use it as a student planner, initialing the boxes as they complete them. One guide should be just fine!
