Oh my dd is driving me up the wall. We are reorganizing RevtoRev (almost done) for a fresh start after spring break, only to discover she is missing the book Hearts and Hands AND a page from her Inventors student notebook

I guess this is why we need plastic tubs for her stuff

Lord help us

Will it make you feel better if I told you one of my children lost his three-ring binder with ALL of the notebooking pages, maps, and science pages in it, not once, not twice, but three times this year? Luckily we found it, implemented some new storage policies, and are doing much better now (You would think I would have thought of this before the third time!). So, I don't find it strange at all!

Melissa, she actually has lost other books before...but THIS time I was SURE everything was in one place

Moedertje,

I guess I have to admit she does get the scatter-brain gene from SOMEONE I know...that's probably why it's so frustrating

This same daughter is also teaching herself to play guitar and writing tons of songs. The disorganization must go hand-in-hand with creativity

I can soooo relate to this thread. If I could have back the days we've spent looking for books. I really have to work with my oldest 2, who float around the house doing school work to bring their books back to their crates. It's a work in progress.

I feel your pain!! My 13 yo dd always has 80 rabbit trails going on in her brain, so she loses everything, ALL the time!! She is teaching herself violin and writing her own music as well. Truly gifted, but in the ozone if you know what I mean!!! Three different times this year she has lost books that I was sure I bought. I eventually re bought the books, only to have them turn up again after she did a thorough cleaning of her bedroom!!! It's channeling that brain that keeps me exhausted!!

Well, it's looking like the creativity and giftedness gene is also the disorganization gene!

My two eldest struggle with this as well. In fact, my eldest, at two different times this year, brought books we owned to the library with our returns. However, she does manage to keep her room (but don't look under the bed or in her closet) quite organized. My second, however, loses everything! I've started charging her a quarter for every time I have to reprint something she has lost, or if I have to be the one to do the finding. I keep hoping that someday things will change, but I remember from my years working in an office that some of most productive and creative sales people had the worst desks ever! I'm thinking it's a trade-off. Blessings.

Well the book turned up, under a pile of other books in her room

The page from the Inventor notebook is still MIA, meanwhile, she had lost another book which I found in the living room under a pile of stuff

And now she misplaced her cell phone

*sigh* LOL

Riley has misplaced his Bible for over a week. We use it every day in HOD! Which of course I love - but we cannot find it! He was borrowing Emmett's Bible and then misplaced that one. Emmett said with his hands on his hips, "Did you lose MY Bible now, toooooooooo?!?" Yikes - I was thinking it too, but it didn't sound very nice when he said it. We found Emmett's Bible 5 minutes later, but Riley's is still missing.

I hope for all of us that our missing things show up soon!
In Christ,
