If I let my friend borrow Bigger for 1 week

I have a friend that is very interested in HOD. I wanted to let her borrow my Bigger guide and books for her to sample with her 3rd grader. Should she start at week 1, or should I have her start somewhere else in the guide? She will only be able to have the books for a week or two, because I will need the guide at the end of the month. If she likes it, she would do Preparing next year for 4th grade.
Thanks,
Tracy

If she is going to use Preparing, I would have her use a week later in the year. Do you have a week that you particularly enjoyed? That might be a good one.

We haven't done Bigger yet, so I was wondering the same thing. Was there was a particular week that some of you might have enjoyed more than the other weeks?
Thank you,
Tracy

If she is planning on using Preparing she can print off the first week of plans and take a look at that.

We have used Bigger and are using Preparing now. The way Preparing is structured is much different from Bigger and it is 4 days per unit. What we have liked is the consistency of subjects, as it helps dc to grow into more independence.
Has she taken a look at the placement chart?...

I agree. She should use the downloads! She probably doesn't even realize they are there. Then she can make comments on her copies, etc.
