Don't forget to check your state's website for things you can easily incorporate into your study. Maine has neat history and activities for kids.

We just returned this book to the library. It was very interesting and the illustrations were wonderful. I think you & your dc would enjoy it, especially since you are new to CO (like us)!

Another idea would be to do a search online; there are some great notebooking pages to use with a state study. I could send you info. on some links if you like...let me know. I've also found some free things online and saved those to use in the future! HTH :D
