Encouraged by this child's faith

As my dd knealt by her bed the past two evenings, I was so impressed by her words. This is a girl who rambles a lot and doesn't take time to think about what she says sometimes, so it often doesn't make sense. The other night she asked God to be with our pastor 'as he works DILIGENTLY'(this word was in one of her HOD memory passages
) Then she asked for the Lord to be with his wife, who suffers tremendously with Lyme disease, to help her so she can praise Him good. What really made me smile was last night when she was praying for her relatives (too many to mention). But she asked that if any of them had Jesus in their heart that He would 'sign them up in His book'.
We have been having a lot of frustrations here lately and even problems with attitude. DD is very outspoken, so it takes a lot of patience on my end and sometimes I don't acquire that fruit of the spirit. I'm blaming it on menopause.
(I know most of you aren't even close to that) She even asked in her prayer the other night that I would not get frustrated when she does things I don't like.
I'll tell you, those prayers of hers were like a breath of fresh air. I had been discouraged about some of her behaviors and feeling like she isn't moving forward in some ways. I have a tendency to focus on the negative.
But, this has given me a boost and will help to remind me that when frustrations come, this child's faith is real and I need to keep building on that no matter how edgy my nerves get. I hope this is an encouragement to some of you. Our dc are listening.
