So it's time for us to start our humor genre and I had originally decided on A House at Pooh Corner because I already owned it. Buuuuuut, honestly I read the first couple of pages and I just don't think my DS would tolerate it nor could I read comfortably through it. So, I looked in the back of the TM and saw that The Adventures of Happy Jack was a suggestion for this genre and boy! did I get on Amazon lickity-split and order it. I know DS is going to be thrilled! He LOVES listening to DD's storytime in LHFHG (this is his second time to hear the stories :D ) So, to have another Thorton Burgess going at the same time will just be a pure pleasure in our home. :D :D :D Just wanted to share how much we love this series of books!

We love the Burgess books too! We now have a nice collection thanks for HOD's suggestion. I wouldn't have known about the books otherwise.

That is exactly what i am going to do with my daughter. I read it (Pooh) for my son when he was in Beyond and I just can't stomach reading it again. I gave my daughter the choice and she right a way chose Happy Jack. Whew! We love the Burgess books here. Can't wait to read it with her.

How fun - enjoy your Happy Jack! :D To my knowledge, we now own them all. The Thorton Burgess books are great! I'm reading them again now to our little guy, and I hear the 2 older dc laughing at the right places when I'm reading too - they are obviously both listening and enjoying them too as they work. Great fun! :D I bet your ds will love Happy Jack!

In Christ,
