Math Idea

Post by blessedtobeamom » Sat Mar 03, 2012 6:04 pm

I like to use a simple 100 bead abacus with my son in math to show addition and subtraction with regrouping. We've labeled one row of colored beads "hundreds", another row of a different color "tens", and a third row of yet a different color "ones". It's a very easy to use visual manipulative. We have a simple wooden one made by Melissa and Doug.
Thankful to God to be His daughter, a wife, a mom, and the owner of a snuggly little Beagle.
