Help with planning ahead

Post by 126bdays » Sat Jan 28, 2012 3:15 pm

We are loving our first year with HOD!! We plan to use it again. This year we did Bigger with our 4th grade boy and twin 2nd grade boys. How long can I keep them in the same guide? I wouldn't want it to be too hard for the younger ones or too easy for the older child. I'll be doing more with our ds (4 years old) next year and want to be prepared. I work part-time and we have a family business. Time is precious but so is their education!

Thank you for your insight!

Dayna,

I'm so glad that you are getting a chance to use and enjoy HOD! :D As far as keeping your boys together goes, our guides are written so that you can combine kiddos with smaller age increments successfully for the long haul. As long as your younger kiddos are succeeding in each guide, then you should be able to just keep on going with them as a group. With HOD, you can always evaluate again at the beginning of each year, and make any changes as needed, however typically one guide prepares a child well for the next guide in line. :D

We're here to help you if you hit any snags in the road. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you Carrie! I will keep them together :D No need to make life more complicated. But, as you said, I will keep a close eye on the younger kids to make sure they are doing well. We'll miss you at the convention in Memphis this year!
