Snow Treasure?

My ds8 wants to read Snow Treasure as a silent reading book, rather than as a read-aloud for story time. It is fine for him as far as reading level goes.
I see that it is the 1940s with some Nazi content. Is there anything in the book that would be objectionable for him to be reading on his own?
Thank you!

I think it'd be great for your ds. My ds9 started the year off with it and was riveted by the story. Reading it was the highlight of his day! (He loves adventures!) We didn't find anything at all objectionable and actually, the story didn't go into any details on the evils of the Nazis, as far as what really happened.

Thank you! This is wonderful news!

I agree, I think it would be fine.

We finished this book as a read-aloud not too long ago and I don't remember anything objectionable at all. My ds and I really enjoyed it!
