Hmmmm, something did not work for us with this science project. We followed the directions to use 2/3 cup of milk and 2.5 T vinegar, then we waited. But we never got curds. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

For us the more fat that was in the milk the better it worked... so cream would work better than whole milk, which would work better than skim.

That experiment didn't really work out for us either, but I think the pp is right..... you need something with more fat.

Thanks! We will try again with higher fat milk. It sounds like it would be really fun if it worked. We had a blast making ice cream the day before

Ok, ours did not work at first either... but I figured it out and we were able to make small and large curds. If you pour your milk and vinegar mix into a coffee cup and microwave for 1 minute (more or less depending on your microwave) then you will get the curds. Then, pour over a towel or cheeseclothe over a bowl. You will get great curds!
