Just ordered Beyond!!! :D

DH and I decided, because of DD5's reading skills, to order the Emerging Readers as we continue on through LHFHG. I told DH it would be advisable just to get the entire Beyond set, because we'd need it eventually, and we need the TM's to follow as we read the ER's. I'm so excited!

Because it sounded like some were in the same boat (KimS), we are going to:

* finish the LH side of LHFHG, as well as Fine Motor Skills and the Storytime box from LHFHG
* use Beyond to do math & ER's, using the Girl set

When we get to Beyond, we'll use it as written with whatever math we are on, with the classic set ER's. I am amazed at how responsive DD is to HOD! I kept trying to hold her off, but she really is rising to the "challenge" and has just exceeded my expectations in every way.

Thanks, Carrie, for this amazing curriculum. In addition, there is another mama on the boards whose daughter is in almost the exact same place, and I have put the word out to her to ask if our kids can virtually go through school together.

That's great that you have a plan in place! I just wanted to clarify that there is only one set of ERs, right? There are separate girl/boy/classic sets for the Beyond story time, but those are read aloud by you. If you need more ER titles, there are many supplementary titles listed in the Beyond guide.

We did a similar combo of LHFHG and Beyond last year and it worked well. Enjoy!

Yes, Camden, you're right; there's only one set of ER's. I got both storytime sets, & just now have to determine what to do with the second one.

I'm so excited for you Heidi! We did the same thing with Wyatt - did the ERS in the middle of LHFHG - it met his LA needs for reading perfectly. This path has kept him loving reading all the way through - I'm so glad your little one will enjoy this too.

Julie, we did storytime, ERs, and Math 1A today in addition to LHFHG for everything else, and I think it's a better fit. YEA!!! Thank you for your encouragement!

Julie, that is SO KIND and thoughtful! I missed the board during Christmas break, but you'll appreciate that I got home and (a) couldn't get cell phone service (aka no smartphone use), and (b) didn't even get internet access, or time if I wanted to, because the cousins were on it (aka my nieces and nephews) playing games! And they're 8! LOL! So I just took the hint and stayed off the "information superhighway" for three whole weeks!!! It was awesome!
