Encouragement for Today

Post by tnahid » Sun Dec 04, 2011 10:19 am

Living for Christ is really not possible until we understand and embrace the fact that dying is gain. And that is not possible until we firmly believe that heaven is real. When we affirm that truth in the depths of our souls, then we are finally free to live for Christ, even if that requires earth-side loss.
--Joseph Stowell, Eternity

Just an encouraging word for you today, my friends. :D :D Let us keep eternity in our hearts as we teach/train and guide our children this week. May we know deep within that this world is not our home. We are pilgrims passing through here, and the most important thing we are doing is preparing our children's hearts for heaven and for living out the Kingdom principles, values and lifestyle while they dwell here on earth. Let us have a long-range, big picture perspective in our homeschool days. It's so easy to get caught up in the minutia and the details of life, yet let us fix our eyes and hearts on things above, not on earthly things. Let us teach our children that this world is not their home, yet we are to love God and be faithful to Him while we are here, walking in the plans He has for us.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book by Joseph Stowell called "Eternity: Reclaiming a Passion for What Endures" It is changing my perspective and very transformational! Bless you all this week. :)
