Praise Report!

I just wanted to say how much my son and I are loving Beyond. We had an unexpected long break and hadn't read Squanto in a few weeks. My son likes Squanto so much, that he remembered exactly where we were. He even remembered the toys that Edward Slainie showed Squanto. Today he said, I don't want to finish Squanto. I wasn't sure what he meant, but he said, "I don't want it to be over. I really like it." He asked if we could read it again. I just showed him The Sword in the Tree. He's really excited now. He is going to have so much fun this year.
Also, I wasn't sure how ds was going to do with the poetry portion, but he is doing a lot better than I anticipated. After we read the poem "Daybreak", I asked him what he thought the title was. He said "Morning Light". I was so impressed. I thought the older language in that poem was going to stump him, but he got it.
One last thing, ds had a little trouble in the beginning with Stories of the Pilgrims, but he caught on quickly and is narrating wonderfully. I'm so happy!
