i have read on the apologia site that they recommend doing each lesson over 2 weeks. is that how HOD uses it and then adds in those other books?
We are wanting to use the anatomy apologia book in a another guide as a substitute but i don't want to do too much or have to cut out any more Hod than i have too.
thanks

You actually do the astronomy book the first 13 weeks of RTR and I believe yes you do it all. We had already gone through that book and so we did the Answers in Genesis Wind and Weather book instead which went for 11 weeks and then I came up with a volcano study for the other 2 weeks until we were back on track with Carrie's plans. Honesty looking at it now I wish we just would have done the Astronomy book. The Wind and Weather book was fine, but looking at the way Carrie does the Apologia book it looked so much more fun than when we went through the Astronomy book the Apologia way. I feel like he missed out honestly. Also those first weeks are where he would have learned what was expected for Science written narrations and vocabulary work etc. Now 14 weeks in he is playing catch up a little bit with that. So all that to say if you can not do the Astronomy book and save it for RTR I would do that. I am figuring out in my 3rd HOD guide that Carrie has so much building of skills built into each subject that it really is beneficial to do things as scheduled.

Lynnh did an awesome job of answering - I'm just agreeing with her answer here! :D We have fond memories of doing RTR's astronomy. :D
