Carrie,

I was wondering if you will be incorporating any Latin in the older programs? I am considering buying a program this year that teaches Latin root words, but if it will be in the programs down the road I will not worry about it. Just Curious :D

MamaMary,

We don't have formal plans to include the study of Latin in our future guides, although it is something I am toying with. While I like the idea of teaching the Latin roots, I have only my two sisters' recommendations to go on (which were both fairly time consuming) and have not officially "tested" any with my own kiddos.

So. if Latin roots are high on your list, I'd say go ahead and add away! No concrete plans on that one here. :D

Blesssings,
Carrie

I would love to see Latin or another classic language included in the future books. We're looking at using Latina Christiana curriculum. Anyone have input on that?

Thank YOU Carrie! I'm totally "ok" getting something else, but I was afraid I would get it and then see you had it covered.

Mary, who doesn't want to miss out on anything :D

Mamaduke,
I have tried Latina twice now with no luck. Neither ds or I have liked it much. I'm thinking it is just us though because I know many others love the program. We are going to try Lively Latin in the fall. It seems to flow better to me. The history and mapwork are spread throughout the program. The lessons are set up so nicely. HTH
Blessings,
Patti
