Praise-oral narration progress

As many of you know my ds has Cerebral Palsy and I have written posts concerning the challenges he faces narrating the longer readings. Readings from the book "Monks and Mystics" have been especially challenging. I think because the readings are often 19-20 pages long and have lots of different people mentioned. Also sometimes action is taking place 2 places at once and he sometimes gets confused. What we have been doing is I read half of it and he reads half of it. Today was his last reading in "Monks and Mystics and he read 19 pages." He wanted to do it on his own and then narrate to me. He came down and told me he was going to narrate mostly the last half of the story since it said to narrate a "portion" of the story. He narrated beautifully. He used the authors words, his own words and he put emotion in to it and made it sound very much like a story. He also included all the details and even kept the 3 John's straight that are in the story. He even caught details in the text that usually would confuse him. He knew he did well also and was very excited about it. Those of you with kids with learning challenges will understand what a huge thing this is. I am just praising God for this today.
