HOD is based on Charlotte Mason's methods, right? I was wondering if there was a few recommendations on Charlotte Mason method books that line up with HOD's philosophy that I can read? What are your favorites?

My favorite is A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola. Others I have read are A Charlotte Mason Education, More Charlotte Mason Education, For the Childrens Sake, and Home Education by Charlotte Mason. I want to read more of her original series.

Another good one to consider is When Children Love to Learn: A Practical Application of Charlotte Mason's Philosophy for Today. :)

I've read and enjoyed all of these, too. And, if you are looking for a fun, easy-to-read narrative/fiction book showing the Charlotte Mason method at work in a gentle way, the Karen Andreola books A Pocketful of Pinecones and Lessons at Blackberry Inn are really good, too!!

I love Educating the Whole Hearted Child and For the Children's Sake. The Mission of Motherhood is another great one...It's more general that CM, but another great read.
