Bigger Extension Books - How long?

Post by daybreaking » Sun Nov 13, 2011 7:21 am

I'm considering reading the Bigger extension books together with my ds, either my reading aloud to him, or he to me. I'm wondering how long I should plan for this in our schedule. Thanks! :)

This is just a guess. We read a few of the extension books as our read alouds for storytime and I'm thinking that it was usually around 15 minutes with the longest days going 25 minutes. So I'm thinking 15-25 minutes would be enough. Hopefully this will bump up and someone else who has done it as extensions can give you an exact idea. :D

Reading them aloud will take longer than dc reading them silently, so I agree with pjdobro that planning 25 minutes would be safe. :D
