Starting 3 Levels for the 1st Time Tomorrow!

I will be starting LHTH, Preparing, and Resurrection to Reformation tomorrow for the first time! :D I'm excited, but a bit nervous, too, since this will be my first time completely splitting up all my kids! I believe it will be the best for them, though. I am also using the workbox system and think that I have it pretty well set up and organized. My biggest concern is getting a good schedule and rotating between all three of my kiddos, but I'm sure eventually we'll get into a good rythm (atleast I hope!). If any of you have used the same 3 programs that I'm using, I'd love to see your schedules! :?: I've looked on this message board and have gotten some good ideas, but haven't seen any with these exact programs. Also, my other concern is that I won't have enough "extra" activities for my pre-schooler. I've gotten lots of good ideas on here and elsewhere, though, and am hoping it will all work out. I'm also adding in a few more "subjects" to LHTH as my pre-schooler is almost 5, and I feel she is ready. Just some R&S preschool workbooks, A Reason for Handwriting K, and LHFHG Kindergarten Science. We will see how all that works out as well. Just wanted to say we are excited and hoping we've found a curriculum we'll be sticking with for a long time!

And, as you can see by my signature we are a couple months behind on our start date. That's because my husband and I opened a new business at the end of August and we've been busy getting that up and running so school was pushed back a bit. But now it's time, and I'm excited! :D :D :D

Dena, hope you have a great first day. You'll have to let us know how it goes.

flydena,

I'm thinking of you today! Just be encouraged that however it goes, learning to run multiple guides does have a learning curve to it. So, expect to take some time to settle into a routine that works for your family. :D Each year has its own challenges, combinations of kiddos, and differing needs. Some of these don't reveal themselves until you're underway. :D So, even the best laid plans can sometimes need some tweaking! :D

We'll be excited to walk the HOD homeschool path with you this year and to support you as you journey! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Congratulations on your new business and starting with HOD. :D Lots of changes but lots of excitement too. Praying you settle in easily. You're going love how flexible HOD is especially with other stuff on your plate. :D

Thanks ladies!

The first day went pretty well. I'm sure we will be working on schedule adjustments for a little while, but overall, it was good. The 2nd day we had issues with my son (he's in RtR). He was being very disrespectful and had a bad attitude. But, I'm hoping today he will be back on track.

My girls are loving HOD, and so am I! Especially my preschooler in LHTH! She doesn't want to STOP school at the end of the day! :D

Homeschooling at the shop is really going pretty well. I think this might be our best homeschool year yet! :D (This is our 7th year!)

I'm so happy to hear that it is going well. That has got to be an extra challenge doing your homeschooling at your shop! I'm so sorry about the little hiccup in attitude with your ds. I've been dealing with that somewhat with my dd, and it really drains my tolerance quota for the day. I pray you continue to have a wonderful year. :D
