Not amazing...just leaning on the Lord to get me through

I am using LHFHG, Beyond, Bigger & Preparing. My dd (9-almost 10) is a very independant learner so she can do most of the boxes in Preparing herself. That is very helpful. On Fridays she also helps me tie up loose ends with the others since her book is only four days.

I just want to be an encouragement to those out there who have to tackle four guides as well. I know I could combine a couple but it truly is easier for me to do them seperately. I do have the youngers listen to each other's history and science once in a while just to keep them close and occupied.

Blessings on your homeschooling journey! :D

Sara - this IS an encouragement! :D I am so glad you are off to a super start - HOORAY! :D I am doing 3 guides, and I really love how our days are going too. Our kiddos are pretty far apart (3+ years each), and as they are in very different places skillwise and maturity-wise, doing separate guides is an incredible blessing for us. You are right - you could combine - and for some families with ages of dc the same as you have, that would be easier. But for other families, like yours, uncombining is easier. I think we all hear the message that combining is easier quite often in homeschooling circles, so it's nice to get the message out that sometimes, separating can be easier too. Blessedly, with HOD, it works to do either. :D Congrats on your happy start to your HOD year! Thanks for sharing!

In Christ,
Julie
