Question about read-alouds when doing Beyond & Bigger...

Hello!
Like a few of you, I am making the switch from MFW to HOD. I have loved everything I've read so far, and I can't wait to get my order together.
My oldest two daughters will be in Bigger in the fall. My third daughter will be doing Beyond. So my question is about the storytime read-alouds. Will it work for me to choose one book from each genre and read it aloud to all the girls? Is there any reason I would need to do separate books for the girls in Bigger from the one in Beyond? I noticed in Bigger that the different genres have corresponding units in the lessons. Does Beyond have a similar schedule? (I did not see unit numbers listed with the books.)
Thanks for your help. I have a few more questions, but I will save them for future posts.

I really don't know..... but it sounds like a good idea to me! The instructions in Beyond (I don't have Bigger) just say to choose a biography (or other genre) from a list in the back of the book, but I would think any book that fit the genre would work. Sounds like a great plan for saving some time! :D

Yes, Beyond does have a similar schedule with corresponding unit numbers. The genres match the genres in Bigger, i.e. Biography is Units 1-4, then Adventure from units 5-8 and so on. So if you think your kiddos will all enjoy the stories from Bigger, there's no reason you have to do the ones from Beyond too. We enjoy reading so sometimes we do more than one from each genre, and sometimes we don't. :D

Laura,

This would definitely work! You can also just teach only one set of storytime lessons to all the girls too!

Blessings,
