So far, this year is going sooo well!

This is the first year I've used Heart of Dakota as a complete curriculum with my oldest. I adapt a little (that's what homeschooling is all about for me, being able to individualize!), but I'm following the guide more than I ever have.
Yesterday I was looking over the plans for today, and my dd walked past and said in a pleasant voice, "What are we doing for school tomorrow?"
She wanted to know.
In the past when she's seen me working on lesson plans, she's had a glare or a sceptical look. And never ever has she asked what we were going to do. She didn't want to know!
I can't say that she's jumping up and down with excitement, but she doesn't hate school.
I am jumping up and down.
This is such a nice change!
