HOD on vacation

We are on vacation this week and dd 4 asked if I brought her school work along. Since we took a long nap and it was raining and thundering outside we did her school. She did not want to stop and asked to do more.
We decided to make a puzzle together after we finished, so she went ahead in the bedroom and proudly came out to tell me that she made a big D from the puzzle pieces. And she did such a good job. She than took a picture on my phone, for me to send it to her friend who did letter D last week and told her all about it
I am so blessed that dd is enjoying her pre-school with HOD so much. Especially since she is my last and I will not use LHTH again
Big thanks to HOD that it's so easy to take LHTH along on vacation and enjoy it so much

It is a blessing isn't it! My son wanted to bring history when we went camping this summer, but we rustic tent camp so I said "no." I could just see the mess we would have.

Just got back from vacationing yesterday and everyone was exhausted!!! We all went to bed early and I had no inentions of doing school today. But the two older ones got up in the morning and went about their normal routines and before I knew it my ds was getting out the Preparing manual and starting on his history. So we did school today As I was doing school with my ds6, he said, "I'm so glad to be back at home again!" After naps though he said he wished he could be back vacationing and swimming with his friends

moedertje - That is so amazing! HOD is inspiring, but I am also taking off my hat and giving a big bow to YOU. A happy, encouraging Mama goes a l-o-n-g way in homeschooling. You are that Mama! Your dc are so blessed. May your year continue to be filled with joy and the making of special memories together with HOD!
