HOD on vacation

Post by moedertje » Tue Aug 30, 2011 10:11 pm

We are on vacation this week and dd 4 asked if I brought her school work along. :D Since we took a long nap and it was raining and thundering outside we did her school. She did not want to stop and asked to do more.
We decided to make a puzzle together after we finished, so she went ahead in the bedroom and proudly came out to tell me that she made a big D from the puzzle pieces. :D :D And she did such a good job. She than took a picture on my phone, for me to send it to her friend who did letter D last week and told her all about it
I am so blessed that dd is enjoying her pre-school with HOD so much. Especially since she is my last and I will not use LHTH again
Big thanks to HOD that it's so easy to take LHTH along on vacation and enjoy it so much :D

So happy you are enjoying vacation. What a great idea to bring school along just in case, what a smart mommy!

It is a blessing isn't it! My son wanted to bring history when we went camping this summer, but we rustic tent camp so I said "no." I could just see the mess we would have. :D

Just got back from vacationing yesterday and everyone was exhausted!!! We all went to bed early and I had no inentions of doing school today. But the two older ones got up in the morning and went about their normal routines and before I knew it my ds was getting out the Preparing manual and starting on his history. So we did school today :D :D As I was doing school with my ds6, he said, "I'm so glad to be back at home again!" :D :D After naps though he said he wished he could be back vacationing and swimming with his friends

moedertje - That is so amazing! :D HOD is inspiring, but I am also taking off my hat and giving a big bow to YOU. A happy, encouraging Mama goes a l-o-n-g way in homeschooling. You are that Mama! :D Your dc are so blessed. May your year continue to be filled with joy and the making of special memories together with HOD! :D

Ladies, thank you for enjoying this moment with me... We had a great time and she was ready today to do school, so she painted and made cards for her friends. :D :D :D
