Emmett's reaction to Riley starting school early...

SLAMMING the door and shouting, "That's NOT fair! I should get to start school today too."

Opening the door... coming back in the kitchen... tears..., then, "When do I get to start?"

"Just in 3 days, honey - it won't be long at all."

"THREE DAYS?!? " SLAMMING door again.

Opening door to shout, "Two days. That's all I can wait. It'll have to be just two, mom. Three's too much!"
:D :D :D

Putting aside the fact that we need to work on the slamming of the doors and the temper, temper... it was pretty cute he loves school that much. I'm tempted to just start - like now - with him, it's LHTH, I could definitely do it. But, that's probably rewarding bad behavior, so nope. But, we had some hugs, and I then had a private chuckle to myself. I thought I'd give you a giggle too.

Julie

awww, that is SO cute! :) (I wish our dd wanted to do school that badly! LOL--but she did love her preschool years and wanted to even do school on the weekends.) ;)

Aw, that's so cute! My kids are moping about starting school tomorrow. They see it as the end of summer and friends even though they love HOD.

I was literally laughing out loud picturing this. We have an occasional door slamming episode around here too, but it hasn't been so cute . Emmet's little "tirade" is just hilarious :D .

LOL....I'll have to live vicariously through you, because fire ( ) would freeze over if my dd ever said something like that. And if she did it wouldn't matter, because I would die of a heart attack.

Very, very cute. I hope it was an awesome day!

Thanks, Kathleen! You can really imagine him doing that having met him before, can't you?!? :D He really put his arm into it - it was a loud slam.

Heather - Yeah, preschool holds a special place in most kiddos' hearts. It's tough to top the first year! :D It's easy to be elated to do school when it's as fun as LHTH and when you have to sustain the elation for only 20-30 min. :D

Leah - thanks, hope you had a super start to school with RTR and PHFHG! :D

Lee Ann - so true - my olders love HOD too, but they are sad (as am I) to see summer coming to a close.

Angie- Yes, tough not to just give in, but the truth is my middle child needs some attention, almost more than my oldest or my youngest right now. He's gotten quieter these days, and I wanted to focus on just him as he has about 5 weeks left of Bigger to do.

Kristin - I think Riley felt special being the only one I started with first. He was positively glowing. He did have to kind of retrain himself to really listen carefully, but he dug right in. :) He had the summer to wait to find out what was going to happen with the Wright brothers. He could hardly wait to pick it back up.

Michelle, Gina, Angie, Patty, Tansy, Whitney - thanks for having a laugh on my little guy and sharing it with me! :D

Annaz - YOU made me laugh outright! Please do live vicariously - I do so often when reading others' posts here too. :D

Thanks, ladies!
In Christ,
Julie
