The Rod and Staff Building teacher's manual has an answer key for worksheets, but I don't see worksheets. LOL Is there a workbook I am missing?

Hi there,
At the end of the book there are extra exercises/worksheets to reinforce lessons if one wants to use them.

Thanks Corrie. Do you mean at the end of the TM? I saw the worksheets but they have the answers in them. Are there blank ones somewhere else?

Ah, there is an extra disposable worksheet book you can buy. Maybe those are connected to that.

Oh okay! I thought I was missing something. LOL That explains it.
So I am assuming most don't bother with the worksheets then.??

I never found them necessary with my older ds.

I like the worksheets, my kids hate to write so we do most of each lesson orally. The worksheets usually involve circling an answer or filling in a word and my kids don't mind doing that so we choose to do the worksheets.

I really like the worksheets too! I order them every year. They are a great addition to our studies! I do most of the R & S orally too, so I rather enjoy handing them a worksheet to do that doesn't overwhelm them at all.

Thanks for the input! It does seem nice to not have them write it all out. hmmmmm

You'll never gave them writing it ALL out anyway, and the weeksheeys aren't necessary. That being said, we love them.

They're great to have them do some more ontheir own when you've done all or most of the lesson orally. If there's a worksheet for a lesson, we usually don't write from the book at all. Keep in mind, the worksheets only practice a certain skill-- they do not have the review and such that the text will contain, only the brand new skill from that lesson. So, just be sure you cover te text material well orally if you use them.

That's good to know, Tamara, that the worksheet would only cover the new skill being introduced. Thank you for chiming in!

That is a very good point. The worksheet does only cover one skill. I bought an individual white board with lines that I give to my son to use to write his R & S work out. I only ever have him do a few ... as long as he does them well and correctly. I give him more to do if he doesn't do them correctly. Very true, I never have him write it all out. We cover it quite thoroughly in an oral format, and just spot check to make sure he can do it on paper/white board.
