Some of you may remember me posting that I had a m/c in back in April. Well, I just found out I am pg again, yay! We will be praying for this baby to stay put. Just had to share, since we wont be telling anyone for awhile! Of course I am already thinking ahead to how that will be. I will be due towards the middle of April, so about a month left of school. I might try to take a few weeks off after the baby is born and just have them go into June, and then start up again the end of Aug. I will also be starting my 4 yo in Little Hands or Little Hearts next year for K (yikes!). That will be a whole new series of questions for you wonderful ladies! I will be schooling 3 then, with a 3 yo and a newborn. Does anyone have any advice for homeschooling with a newborn for me? And maybe any advice for combining some things for the older 3? Thank you!!

No advice yet, but I wanted to say Congratulations!! I have prayed for your bubba. Hope it all goes well! I am a doula and I went to my first birth yesterday... it was beautiful! So I wanted to say to you that I hope you have that same lovely experience.

I found homeschooling with a newborn to be relatively easy. It's the toddler running around that is causing me difficulties. When Lily was a newborn she was content to be held while we went through our lessons. I hope you are blessed with a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Congratulations! I just had #4 a few months ago, and yes -- hsing with a newborn has been SO EASY. She was born end of April and we took off until the first of August, but it has gone really well. Our schedule and hers go together nicely.

Congratulations! I agree with pp about homeschooling with a newborn. Newborns are easy, it is the toddler years that get a little tricky. However, if you teach them as they are growing it makes a difference. I taught all my kids that when I am doing lessons they need to walk up to me and touch my arm, then wait patiently for me to have a good spot to break. This has worked well and my older children still use it! HTH

Congratulations! I too have had a m/c and the subsequent pregnancy actually the Lord really reassured me that it would be OK, plus I was so sick I figured the baby had to be doing well in there. But I understand the fear that can be there until that first time you hear the baby's heartbeat! Praying for peace and trust in the Lord, He is working to knit that little one together!
I agree with everybody else, newborns are relatively easier to school with than toddlers! I used a wrap and my baby (who is now my 2 YO) would just sleep, or be awake and watching me or her sisters while I did school. I was only doing preschool then though. I could read while nursing, no problem!

Well, I don't believe I ever came back on to thank you ladies for your prayers. They were definately answered in that I had a smooth, uneventful pregnancy, and quick (got to the hospital at 2 am and was 9 cm, and baby was born at 3:09 am!) delivery. Our 9 lb 2 oz Gavin Isaiah was born 2 weeks overdue on May 6th. What a blessing he is to our family, and it makes me cry to think of how all of our prayers were answered, above and beyond what WE had wanted to happen. God is GOOD! I was so concerned with schooling and what we would do for the 2-3 weeks we would have left after his birth, and there was no need to be concerned b/c we finished up school on Friday, May 4th and he was born less than 48 hours later! Better than I had planned, of course, because it was God's plan! Thank you again for your prayers and well wishes~
