First Day with Bigger!

And we LOVED it! I also am in love with Edward Eggleston! I usually hate reading out loud, but today I was sad that we only had three pages. I wanted to find out more!
The Geography lesson was great, but not so much that we didn't also have time to look up old world maps so that we could see what Columbus was dealing with.
It was great! I loved that all the information was straight-forward, but not dumbed down to the point of being "simple".
And I can't tell you how thrilled I am that I gave the hymns a chance. My daughter, who loves poetry, art, and music, asked to take the cd to her room to listen to tonight. (I told her not yet, because I want her to listen to them after she learns about the artist.) She played, "Holy, Holy, Holy" about five times in a row, until my husband said, "How many times are we listening to that song?" XD She was humming along with it while drawing a picture of Columbus sailing on the sea.
I am one happy Mama! I can't wait for school tomorrow!
