DITHOR Lev. 3 book question

For those of you whose dc have read "The Mystery of Pelican Cove" (included in the DITHOR Lev. 3 book pack), is it nessessary to read the previously written book, "The Treasure of Pelican Cove" first in order for the sequel to not be confusing? Thanks!

Nope, not at all. I didn't even know there was a book before this one and we enjoyed the book a lot. It stands well on it's own.
