We started Beyond today and the Geography activity was to outline a huge circle on the floor with masking tape. It is a continent study. Well, I don't have a lot of floor space, but we do have a dead end street ! So we took a large laminated map, our continent names and sidewalk chalk out. We drew a HUGE circle spanning the roadway and then I drew the continents and DD had to match her papers with the map and write out the continent names. Then there is plenty of room to play the game and things. It looks pretty good for a freehand effort I must say. The elderly couple that lives at the end of the dead end drove up and we had to clear out to let them pass and she said, "Oh no! I am driving through your classroom! LOL!" Anyway, I had to share our adaptation. It was pretty fun.

If you took a picture we would love to see it on the week-in-review! :D :D

We had our first day too and decided to draw it on the driveway with chalk. We didn't get as inventive as you, we just put the continent names on index cards. Your version sounds awesome!

That sounds like a LOT of fun. Now that it's cooling off (90s instead of 100s :? ) we are probably going to take some outside days, draw some of our pictures of our poems or something on the driveway with chalk. I'm sure my kids will enjoy that a LOT.
