DITHOR Question

Post by blessedmama » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:17 pm

I am wondering how far a person would get in DITHOR in a year using the Preparing schedule. The way I figured it, it would take me about a 1 1/2 years of school (Sept-May) to finish the two books per genre in one level. Does anyone have any insight for me?

DITHOR is scheduled 3 days a week in PHFHG, and there are 35 weeks in the guide, so dc will do 105 days of DITHOR. Each genre takes 20 days to complete, so we usually go through 5 genres. :D The extra 5 days either mean we finish DITHOR a bit early, or we use them to do up a few projects big. :D The next year, I always do whatever 4 genres we didn't do the year before, and I let the dc choose which 1 genre they want to do again. So, every 2 years, my dc do all of the genres once they reach PHFHG. HTH! :D Enjoy DITHOR- we have for many years and continue to do so. I can't imagine teaching reading any other way! :D
