Our first day

Post by Kims » Mon Aug 15, 2011 10:57 am

Ok today was our first day of school in Beyond and it was WONDERFUL. Both boys loved it even though the 4yo is too young he hangs out for everything. What in the world was I panicking about. I know when I do two guides next year there will be some adjustment but I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOD and can't believe I even thought of anything else. I have homeschooled for 14 years and never found something as wonderful as this.

And on my son's reading. We haven't done any reading this summer. I mean I read to them but I have not done anything with him. I meant to but my summer was crazy. Well he picked up today reading even better than the end of last year. Praise God. One of my biggest worries and the thing I hate about homeschooling is teaching them to read.

Thank you Carrie for all the work you put in so we don't have to. I LOVE HOD. (now prayerfully there will be highschool level by the time my 6yo is ready for it) :D

Hi Kims,

I'm glad your first day went well.

This is our first year with HOD, also, and I am so glad that I discovered it. We started Beyond two weeks ago (along with CTC and Little Hands). It has been wonderful, as you said, and I'm really looking forward to eventually covering all the levels.

And I'm glad for you that it is going well with your son's reading. It is such a blessing when they catch on.
Enjoying Heart of Dakota for our fifth year using:

Kim - I'm so glad your first day went great! :D Hooray! I too am so glad for the joy that HOD brings to our homeschooling. I can't imagine doing it any other way. May the Lord continue to bless your homeschooling, and may Beyond bring you many more days of delight! :D
