I am planning on using LHFHG with my 6yo ds for the next school year...my dd won't be 5 until November so I am trying to determine what to do with her. I already have LHTH and could use it or should I include her in with my ds using LHFHG?
LHTH is such a SWEET looking book I hate for her to miss out on it...

If you're planning to do something with dd anyway, I would recommend LHTH. We started LHFHG with ds who will be 5 in June, then decided he was not ready for the History reading, Science, etc. So, we ordered LHTH and we're so glad we did! We've just begun, but he's enjoying learning the letter sounds with the finger play and the art activities. We both love the beautiful pictures in the Bible...
Some would say begin with LHFHG because dd will grow into the readings and such, which may be true. I just thought, "Why push through this when he's not fully comprehending, and LHTH is perfect for his age and ability?" KWIM? Just my 2 cents; take it for what it's worth!

Debbie,
I think inHistiming gave you good advice! If your little one places into "Little Hands to Heaven" on the placement chart then it would be good to do that with your little guy.
However, if you desire to keep your kiddos together, and you think your 5 year old could ride along with "Little Hearts..", you could go that route instead. Sometimes, as inHisTiming mentioned, it is necessary to grow into the readings in LHFHG. But, I usually recommend that plan only if your kiddo is beyond "Little Hands to Heaven" and is on track with the rest of "Little Hearts..." in the areas of language arts and math.
I, too, really enjoy "Little Hands...", and if your kiddo isn't beyond the skills in it, it is a wonderful program.
I'm sure other moms will chime in with their words of wisdom. Here's a link to the placement chart:
