We are a little more than halfway through LHFHG and just finished The Family Time Bible. :( I loved, loved, loved that portion of our day. We would read it every morning at breakfast. Do you do devotions and HOD? I feel like we will be missing something if I don't read something from the bible to them every day. I was thinking we could read that chapter that goes along with our verses we will be learning, but my kids are still kind of young and I don't know it it will go over their heads. I would love to hear what you do.

My dc absolutely loved "The Family Time" Bible too! It is a wonderful children's Bible - I'm so glad your family enjoyed it too. :D "Devotions for the Children's Hour" is planned once a week in LHFHG, and we loved that time having devotions together throughout the year. :D The daily singing of the hymn and daily memorization of Scripture was also part of our time with the Lord too. :D So, those facets of devotions will remain to be enjoyed the rest of the year. "The Family Time Bible" is used to portray that period in history, and as LHFHG is a one year sweep of history, when it concludes there is not a replacement. If you are wanting to have daily Bible reading similar to what you enjoyed with "The Family Time Bible" though, you may want to check into using "101 Favorite Stories from the Bible". This is the other suggested Bible to go along with LHFHG, and it is also excellent! You could easily use this for a family devotions time together each day that parallels what you did with "The Family Time Bible" in a lovely way. HTH, and I am so glad you are enjoying spending time with the Lord each day with your dc through HOD! We love that as well, and are very thankful for those special times together. :D

In Christ,
Julie
