DITHOR- should daughter do vocab work everyday?

Hi all, we are starting our first week with school. My daughter is LOVING storytime and DITHOR. She is reading about Amelia Earhart in DITHOR. She is an excellent reader. We did vocab work yesterday (introducing it to her actually) but I was wondering if she should be doing vocab each time she comes across a word she doesn't know or if she should just do it on the days scheduled in the TM? She has a recipe card file that she is keeping index cards with the vocab words and definitions so she can refer back if she needs to. Just wasn't sure how often I should have her do vocabulary if it isn't scheduled.

We just did it when we were prompted to in the guide.

Us too!
Mine love Dithor as a whole, but doing vocab more than scheduled would definitely not fly around here

If she were "older" for this guide, I would say "beef up" that vocab work.
At age 7, I'd say just do it when scheduled. Better a few words she truly remembers than a ton of words that feel like drudgery and are soon forgotten. A quick discussion of a word meaning, rather than formal vocabulary work, should be enough to get her by as far as story understanding goes. With excellent literature, her vocabulary will grow as naturally as it did from speaking when she was small.

Ok, thanks! That was how I was leaning but wanted to make sure.
