I'm excited to start RTR this week when DS gets home from scout camp! We are beginning sooner than usual due to a two-week anniversary trip DH and I are taking later this month. While DS is gone I am pulling out my new books, covering the guide with contact paper, adding tabs, making a shopping list, and just getting organized in general. The books look so good this year. I think DS is really going to enjoy it as he loves anything to do with knights, swords, castles, etc.
Hopefully you'll be seeing us on the Week in Review board soon!

Happy Anniversary, today is ours! But we're just going to dinner. Someday we'll take a trip together again...

Happy organizing!

It sounds like you've picked a good time to organize, birchbark. My mental capacity quadruples when I am in my home alone.

I hope you have a nice time preparing for your year and getting everything all set to begin. I'll be getting ready for PHFHG and RevtoRev, though I have some time to prepare for PHFHG, as Riley has 5 weeks left of BHFHG.

The little guy is set to finish LHTH. I love the organizing stage - it helps me start to imagine our year together and reminds me to be oh so thankful we get to spend it together.

Things like being able to pick when to begin, how to set up our day, when to take breaks, where in the house we'll do each part of our day, how each child will have their special time with me in the day, where we will display their work, how we will organize it, and so many other little details are such a blessing to me as a homeschool parent.
Happy anniversary to both of you - birchbark and netpea!
In Christ,
Julie
