This has been fun to hear everyone's tips, thanks!!

I have an organizing question for you all...first my dc are notorious for taking their socks off anywhere in the house at anytime of the day, therefore losing them in the process. It is one of the battles I have chose to lose as their is so much more important things for me to keep track of. However, I am truly tierd of the, "I don't have any socks" routine. Does anyone have any tips on this?

My rule is that I only wash the laundry that is in the laundry room. If they want clean socks they have to bring their laundry down. Not sure if that would help you, but it does stop the complaining here.
