Is HOD enough?

Dear Sarah,

You have gotten so many wonderful responses. I just wanted to share w/ your from a personal experience.

I have found that in the years we used BIG programs that I thought covered all the basis, my children did not "test" as well as the years we kept things simple. What I found is that more is not better, more is just "more"?

If you were to sit with my 16 year old and ask him questions about the things he learned. What you would find is that he really grasped history, science, writing, english when we slowed down and immersed. When we tried to read, test and move on, he would remember it just long enough and then forget it so that he could focus on the next thing he was supposed to learn.

Your doing a GREAT job! If the Lord has moved on your heart to use a particular program (HOD or not) you can NEVER go wrong, trusting Him! You know the scripture that says to....,

"Lean NOT on your OWN understanding"

I am praying for you this morning that the Lord would fill you up with HIS peace, HIS perfect wisdom for you and your family.
