O.k. Why doesn't mine say the person's name I'm quoting? I think that's slightly important, isn't it?!?

Here I Am! We just finished dinner!...

Ok, when you do a quote, the first thing you see is the brackets, I'm going to use parenthesis instead of brackets so you can see, if I use brackets the computer automatically thinks it's a quote...
In the top left corner you will see:
(quote="my3sons")

Do not delete that part :!:

At the end of the quote you will see
(/quote)

Do not delete that part :!:

You can delete any thing else.

give it a try..... :D

O.k. Is there a record for how many tries it takes a HODie to learn to quote? I think I may be the winner! I am going to fess up to a very embarrassing thing here. I have NEVER noticed the "quote" word on the top right of each person's message. I am guessing this must be what you are using now. As usual, I continue to be famous for making simple things difficult - I was only trying the "quote" square next the "underline" feature at the top of the reply box. I am crossing my fingers and toes that this works now... soft drumroll as I attempt to "quote" in this newfangled way...

A part of me really wants to delete this past post, just not to seem like such a complete idiot, but in light of someone else still not getting this (anyone but me?!?), I'm leaving it, and asking a few questions...
Which "quote" are you using?
Are you at any point copying and pasting things? (This is what I did the time before last time when it semi-worked but left the quoter's name off.)
Signed,
A very embarrassed my3sons!

I feel frightened to try it here - this posting thread seems to be bad luck for me when it comes to quoting. But get ready, I am going to become a quoting machine now. I have become a quoting HODie - a true accomplishment this late in the day!

Would it be a pride issue if I begin referring to myself as the ultimate prize winner of the HODie (a.k.a. HOTTIE) award from now on? Let's just not share what I got it for though?!?

O.k. I am really laughing here. This reminds me of a time that I was in line to buy some jogging pants after having my first baby. As the cashier began to ring it up, the "back end" of it flipped over to reveal "HOTTIE" in big red letters with some red-hot hips. Needless to say - I put them back in horror. I don't believe I ever felt less like a hottie than at that moment - and the fact that I missed the word "HOTTIE" being stretched across my backside when I tried them on was reason enough to remind me I was in no shape mentally or physically to go shopping! Of course, now with my new prestigious "HODie" (a.k.a HOTTIE) award here, I could really use those pants... mmmm, maybe NOT, especially since I just had baby #3 and H................O................T................T.................. I................E would look more like this! :P
