We are enjoying Phonics Pathways and Reading Pathways from dorbooks.com

I really like the method they use with having kids NOT read word families like -at, cat, hat, mat, bat where they can get away with rhyming and not really read (that is what my son was doing!)...PP uses a word list such as bat, bet, bit, bot, but or sat, ted, mit, got, hut. They have to look at the letters, sound them out, and really read them. This is working so much better for us! Plus there are great games in the book to make it hands on.
